Chelsea are set to offer Callum Hudson-Odoi all the support the teenager wants after facing two incidents of racist abuse playing for club and country.
Hudson-Odoi was subjected to racist chanting, alongside fellow England players Raheem Sterling and Danny Rose, during the 5-1 Euro 2020 qualifying victory over Montenegro on Monday night.
Last week, Chelsea lodged a formal complaint with UEFA over racist abuse aimed at 18-year-old Hudson-Odoi during the closing stages of the 5-0 Europa League win away to Dynamo Kiev on March 14.
Chelsea hold the highest regard for player welfare, and it is understood Hudson-Odoi will be offered a wide range of options for additional support if he feels it is needed.
LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Hudson-Odoi made his first senior start for England in Podgorica, where he helped set up a goal for Ross Barkley during an impressive victory for the Three Lions.
Speaking after the match, the Chelsea player had tackled the issues head on during his media interviews and hoped ‘UEFA deal with it properly’.
Following the incident in the Europa League tie, both the club and player were content the matter was being handled correctly and taken very seriously by UEFA having gone through the proper channels.
