Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have been given a much-needed lift ever since the first-team played their opening match at the club’s new stadium.
After a spectacular opening ceremony, Mauricio Pochettino’s men did the business by beating Crystal Palace 2-0 on Wednesday night to send the Spurs faithful home happy.
The new ground has received stellar reviews by pretty much everyone who’s visited it including talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams who hailed it as the best he’s seen around the world.
And the stadium has made many believe Spurs, who have struggled to use their huge talent to win trophies in recent years, can go to the next level.

However, former Premier League midfielder Dietmar Hamann is not convinced.

The ex-Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester City man believes pundits are getting ‘too carried away’ by Spurs’ new ground, suggesting the sole reason for their recent success is their manager.
On whether Spurs’ new ground would help take the club to the next level, Hamann said:Â “I doubt it.
“In fact I’d be more inclined to lean towards some sort of meltdown rather than moving to the next level.
“Pundits are getting way, way too carried away by Spurs, who are basically over-achieving. They aren’t winning trophies and nor would I have expected them to – but other pundits seem to.
“They are over-achieving because they have a fantastic manager in Mauricio Pochettino but he won’t be there forever.
“He wanted to be around for the move to the stadium but some bigger jobs will come along again.”
The victory over Palace was not only important in the sense of continuing the good feeling around the new home but it also put Spurs back in the ascendancy in the race for Champions League football next season.
They are currently third in the Premier League with six games to go although just three points separate them from sixth-placed Manchester United, while Arsenal and Chelsea are only a point off third.
LATEST PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS
Hamann admitted the new stadium is ‘great’ but believes the race for Champions League football is a far more pressing issue and failure to reach the top four could lead to a number of the north London club’s players leaving.
He added: “And as for the players, if Tottenham don’t win the Champions League or don’t even qualify for next year’s Champions League, some of their stars will be off. And they don’t actually have too many.
“Great clubs are built on squads of 20, 21 or more players; Spurs have 12 or 13.
“The stadium’s great, unlike Tottenham’s long-term prospects.”

'Luis Suarez cannot be trusted' - Liverpool have more chance
Only two black quarterbacks have actually won in the 70+ year's league history. So if Cam were to have won last night, it would have been a great moment, especially in February as we celebrate Black History Month. But this isn't about race. At least not for me. After I returned home last night, I went on social media to see pictures of the
